Editable Kid’s Book Front Pages for MS Word

A book’s title page is the representative page of a book, as it creates the first impression on the reader. Though the title pages are often overlooked relative to the book’s cover, it is important to design the book’s title page in a way that it presents an appealing and elegant outlook of the book to the reader. The title page should be able to provide clear information regarding the book’s title, author, and publishing details, at a quick glance. Adding a title page to the book is a good way to make an individual buy and read a particular book.

Kid’s books must be creative, colorful, and Illustration based. That is why the title page should also compliment the content of the book. If it fails to attract the attention of the reader, the probability of one buying and reading a book gets lower. While reading a book, the title page is the first page, a reader looks and reads. Therefore, the book should cover the following components:

  • Title of the Book – it should be clear mentioned and needs to be appealing enough that one inclines to read the book’s content.
  • Author of the Book – few readers are fond of certain authors and like to read books of their favourite authors. Adding author’s name lessens the ambiguity for purchasing a specific book based on author’s name.
  • Details of Publisher – adding the detail of publishing company helps in elevating the quality standard, because the readers are selective in terms of quality content and therefore, they tend to buy books which are published by eminent publishing companies. Besides adding the name of publishing company, the location and date of publication should also be mentioned.
  • Copyright Information – adding copyright information helps in clarifying the ownership. When lot of editions for a single book are printed, the copyright information provides an account of the real owner, or the actual author, to whom the work and credentials belong.

The title page of the book may also include the editor’s details, edition, series number (if any), and Illustrations. Moreover, the correct formatting of the book’s title page is very important, and it depends on the guidelines of formatting style being followed (such as the guidelines provided by the American Psychological Association, Modern Language Association, etc.)

The templates for a book’s title page are readily available on online resources and can be instantly downloaded. It is important to know the category of a book, and the targeted readers, to prepare and write the title page in a way that would make the reader turn the page to read the entire book. If a title page fails to reflect the topic or subject of interest, the book does not make it to the reader’s bookshelf.

Therefore, while looking for the kid’s book title page’s templates online, the relevant category of the book should be browsed and searched to find the required template.

In case one fails to find the required template online, the title page can be created manually in MS Office, as it provides a variety of templates that are available in its existing database. Another of designing a template is by inserting a blank page before the book’s content pages and adding in it the required text.
